The rowan tree is a narrow, graceful & elegant tree with fern-like leaves that turn a beautiful burnt orange in autumn. A popular tree in urban areas due to its size and tolerance to atmospheric pollution & a firm favourite with a multitude of wildlife. Its creamy white flowers that bloom in spring make it a haven for pollinators, the flowers developing into deep red berries which are a feast for small mammals and birds. Rowan berries can be enjoyed by wildlife & humans alike, making delicious Rowan Berry Jam or Jelly.
Please note: all our trees are 20 – 40cm in height, depending on the time of year they may arrive bare or with browning leaves. This is completely normal and they will perk back up in the warmer weather. Our cell grown saplings can be planted all year round if given the right care and attention.
